Según la web Gematsu, en el sitio web de 4chan; ha filtrado información de que en el Nintendo Switch se podrá emular juegos de Game Boy y Game Boy Advnace a través de la eShop de Nintendo.
Estos emuladores tiene de nombre en clave "Hiyoko" para Game Boy, y "Sloop" para Game Boy Advance, los cuales han sido desarrollados en cooperación con NERD, siglas que que refieren a "Nintendo European Research & Development".
