Falcom anunció la fecha de lanzamiento de Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter publicando también un trailer con motivo de ello.
En Occidente, el juego estará disponible tanto en formato físico como digital para PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch y Nintendo Switch 2. En Japón, la edición física solo estará disponible para PlayStation 5 y Nintendo Switch 2.
En Japón, las reservas del juego para PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch o Nintendo Switch 2 incluirán un código de descarga para una versión remasterizada en alta definición del juego original The Legend of Heroes Trails in the Sky.
Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter se lanzará para PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2 y PC el 17 de Septiembre.
